What a Story

Well, I have not done well at keeping this up but I have to tell you this story. I will just refer to him as friend to protect him but this is why we go and you send me. Friend works at the Hotel where me and my two friends stayed while in Pakistan. We saw him serving a couple of times while we were there but never met him. The day we were preparing to leave we received a knock at the door and it was friend with gift's. He simply said he had watched us all week and wanted what we had. We explained that what he saw was a living, loving Jesus. He said he wanted to know Him. We shared with him and gave a bible. He told us his story that included he was with his mother alone, raised a Muslim, but needed change in his life. Over the last few months, Rody Chesser, Cork, and myself have had opportunity to visit with him over e-mail several times. He has been mugged and persecuted for his search but nothing like last week. His Uncle came to the home and saw him reading his Bible. He ask why and friend shared of his search. The Uncle beat him and threatened him that if he ever heard of this again he would kill him. Friend boldly stood and said."Muslims fight me, and Christians love me. I want to know this Christ!" To date friend is calling on the Lord to be his savior, Lord and protector. He lives boldly each day with the realization that even his family could kill him any time legally. His mother supports him and is also learning. Remember to love friend everyday. It is a great day to love people and go see them. Stay in touch and live quickly, we only have so long!
