Hey all, I have finished my time in Sri Lanka. It was way too short. This is a gorgeous place and only held back by an oppressive and selfish government. The natural beauty of both the landscape and the people is something everyone should experience. The traffic and driving is something everyone should avoid! Ha Ha! The selfish govt. has not spent the money on infrastructure, because they would rather spend it on themselves. As a result, large Buses, dump trucks, three wheel rickshaws, motor cycles, bicycles, and pedestrians, all share a two lane highway with speeds from 1.5-75 mph all in the same flow. You can not even imagine. I had a great driver in a Toyota pick up and felt like a king on his last ride! Ha Ha! My time with Anura and his family was priceless. They could not have done more to make me feel special. I also got to see Farhan last night and he drove me home from supper. He got his commercial pilot license at Meachum Field in Ft. Worth. He drives his Daddy's van like it is a Piper Seneca. I thought we were going to die. He has a wonderful Muslim family that took me in and cared for me with tea. Farhan has decided it is God's ( Allah or Jehovah either one, he doesn't care) will that he come back to the US and marry my daughter Kalya. He has a friend who will marry Kali. ( see picture) I told him I would kill him! Ha Ha! Well here is Anura's family and now I am off to serve with our friend Ratna Raju. Stay tuned. Living faster than is safe! I love you all.
David
